Title:         Tapestry of Hope
Medium:   Prewoven textile, drum & beater,
                metal stand, acrylic
Size:         36” high x 20” wide at footing

The Tapestry of Hope is a crusade piece, a messenger to the people to get involved!  Its theme has to do with the stewardship of the land.  I am asking the viewer to use their one solitary voice, the beat of a drum, to sound out a sort of synergized protest against the continued looting and spoiling of this earth for the sole purposes of power and wealth! I want the viewer to take up arms, so to say.
As is every person's hope in life, the simple actions of one, eg. a drum beat, can have a positive effect. Created for a membership show for the Station Gallery, Whitby, On.
