Title: Malahat
Medium: Stained glass, wood and canvas Size: 16”x 20” A diorama, with a depth of about 4”. The sky is a panel of stained glass and the concrete barrier and railing is wooden dowelling set into a carefully bevelled wooden plank. The foreground is tipped to impersonate perspective and is covered with an aggregate that feigns the look of asphalt. The back of the diorama is the actual stained glass panel, which is affected by the surrounding back light. This gives the piece a kinetic light affect, which helps to animate the sky. 2013 (private collection) |
